We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Senior Data Analyst within the financial support team
In this role, you will:
- Consult with stakeholders to understand and translate business needs into data products for reporting, visualization and analytics.
• Find quantitative solutions to business problems and articulate the results clearly, allowing for more data led decisions within the Financial Support.
• Define, build and maintain data products such as tables, views and segments, along with corresponding metadata and code base.
• Collaborate with global teams on the development of global data products and metadata standards.
• Carry out mathematical and statistical tests on large and complex data sets for stress testing and modelling
• Develop, deploy and maintain models which can predict, forecast and simulate scenarios with different variables
• Act as the departmental SME with the potential to coach/manage junior analysts.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- A backgound in Professional Services
- Experience of change delivery within a Services Transformation Programme
- Demonstrable experience of business acumen; ability to communicate effectively and influence senior stakeholders and be confident to stand-by recommendations identified.
- Experience of open source technologies, such as Python and SAS
- Experience of agile and agile lifecycle management tools, in particular JIRA and Confluence
- Looker and Clic would be preferable but not essential.
- Knowledge of cloud solutions, such as data lakes and enterprise big data and analytics platforms, in particular using GCP, such as Big Query and Data
- Fusion would be preferable but not essential
- Experience and development of analytic models
- Experience and development of machine learning would be preferable but not essential.
- Extensive experience of data technologies, including relational, dimensional, NoSQL data platforms plus metadata and data transformation tools
This is a hybrid role, with the base location as either Birmingham, Sheffield or Chester 3 days / 60% a week in the office
